Like every festival, Millennium Docs Against Gravity each year strives to surprise not only with its film program but also with solutions that make life easier for everyone attending the cinema. On the occasion of the 21st MDAG, thanks to the support of Visa - one of the world's leaders in digital payments, a new accreditation and ticketing system has been launched. Until the end of April or while supplies last, you can purchase a pass for the Warsaw edition of the festival for 300 PLN or apply for a professional or media accreditation (220 PLN). All of this can be done at book.mdag.pl.

To purchase a pass or submit an application for accreditation, you need to register/log in on the website book.mdag.pl. If you already have an account on our vod.mdag.pl service, simply add your email to the new service. For passes, in the next step, you need to fill out a short form and make a payment. For accreditation, please fill out the form and submit the application. We will respond to your application within a few days.

The festival is a continuous development

A true revolution for all participants of MDAG will be the ability to reserve and cancel an electronic ticket for each screening. This will save valuable time between screenings, which previously had to be spent visiting the Festival Center and collecting a physical ticket.

"The area that underwent a revolution is the system of passes and accreditations. So far, we have been working with external technological partners, such as ticketing systems. Although their flexibility and willingness to build new conveniences for the audience were at the highest level, there were still a few elements missing that would allow us to feel fully satisfied. Therefore, we decided to build our own system. Individuals who purchase a pass or media/industry accreditation will be able to reserve tickets for screenings online. All of this will be available in our system on the website book.mdag.pl. Everyone will have constant access to their reservations and the ability to manage them. They won't need to print anything either. At the same time, they will still have the option to collect their tickets in person at any of the Warsaw cinemas if that formula is more convenient for them. All of this will be based on a simple calendar that we have built similar to the calendar for purchasing individual tickets," says Ewelina Tomczak, responsible for the development of this extremely important project for MDAG.

Together, we make life easier

The creation of the system would not have been possible without the support of Visa, which has been collaborating with the festival for three years now. During this time, the scope of our activities has expanded, and during the 21st edition of MDAG, Visa once again not only awards the Best Debut Prize and invites all cinephiles to a VR experience exhibition but also partners in a debate on the determination of Olympic athletes and facilitates the audience's everyday life through fast, convenient, and secure online payments in the new pass and accreditation system.

"Our collaboration with Visa is particularly important to us because it allows us to be a fully modern festival. On the one hand, it influences the program - we can present the audience with a review of extraordinary VR experiences, which largely represent the future of cinema. By organizing a competition for the best debut, we also showcase a fresh perspective on storytelling, presented by a new generation of filmmakers. Our collaboration also has a more practical dimension. This year, we are meeting the expectations of the audience regarding the convenience of participating in MDAG. The new pass and accreditation system will allow us to avoid the need to queue at the Festival Center," says Mateusz Góra, Head of Communications at MDAG.

"At Visa, we are constantly thinking about new payment innovations and how to ensure universal access to them. Our inspiration comes from young people. Generation Alpha, those born after 2010, expect a world without disruptions, where digital experiences are seamless, everything is simple and one-click away, preferably without clicking at all. We understand their needs and are delighted that we can provide faster and safer online ticket purchases, thus offering wonderful film experiences to all festival participants," adds Mirosław Smolewski, Visa Marketing Director in Poland.

The largest Polish film festival will take place from May 10th to May 19th in seven cities (Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdynia, Poznań, Katowice, Łódź and Bydgoszcz), followed by an online edition from May 21st to June 3rd on mdag.pl. The titular sponsor of the event is Bank Millennium (https://www.bankmillennium.pl/).
